I have been searching my artistic expression since 1993 when I started to flirt with contemporary artistic practices.
My early work was based on the research of space and the relationship of body, space and time. I created three-dimensional paintings and ambient installations.
In this period two series were the most significant for my artistic creation:
1. Polštrčki (Pillows) is a series of paintings that enter into space. At first it was just some hardened canvas stuck out from the wall in a semi-circle and later mesh was added that apart from providing support to the structure played a role in the play with different materials. A formalistic play with a new shape of a painting was also the topic of my diploma thesis.
2. Spomin v času (Memory in Time) is a series based on the motive the bed and presents five different approaches to this fascinating object and its function and deeper meaning in our lives.

In 1998 I started my Masters’ degree at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design where I studied Sculpture with Professor Jože Barši. I received a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia.
I started to turn from spatial art and installations to conceptual art. I started my diary projects.

To mention just the most important ones:
On 10th July 1997 I started with ink painting. The project called Dnevnik 10. 7. 1997 › ? (Diary 10th July › ?) tried to capture the state of my body and thoughts.
On 15th January 1998 I created a one-month diary, Pisma profesorju (Letters to My Professor) in which there are 28 letters, one each day. They contain notes from my diary, my letters and quotations.
On 19th June 1998 I started with my photo journal Dobro jutro Kiki (Good Morning, Kiki). I photographed myself each morning. The photos were usually taken by chance, although I kept a precise diary of the snapshots, including the date, time and place.
On 13th April 2001 I started a diary of relationships with nine men and nine women that is called Odnosi (Relationships). Once a year they take a photo of me the way they want. Odnosi is a play for nine actors and actresses and me that is based on perseverance.
In 1998 I illustrated my first book of fairy-tales of my ballet teacher from Novo Mesto. With this project I found a new form of expression which is very dear to me. I was drawn to the fictitious, epic and endless ways of expression.

I finished my Masters’ degree in 2000 with the project Dobro jutro Kiki (Good Morning, Kiki) and a solo exhibition in the P74 gallery in Ljubljana. Since then I have been a freelance artist, active in a number of areas: contemporary art, drawing, sculpture, illustration, illustration theory, story-telling, design and film.
I have participated in several group exhibitions. In 2002 I presented my work in New York with a project Escape from Alcatraz in the Williamsburg Art and Historic Center.
